A restaurant is to host a dumpling-eating competition to raise money for a Walthamstow charity.
Jerk Hut, in Hoe Street, Walthamstow, is challenging residents to eat as many Jamaican dumplings as they can in five minutes at the event on Saturday February 23 at 1pm.
It costs £2 to take part and all money will go to The Soul Project in Wood Street.
The charity acts as a community centre and leisure facility for young people and their families, with the aim of preventing social exclusion in Waltham Forest.
Call the restaurant on 020 8520 8599 for more information.
