A man was brutally attacked in a kebab shop.
The 22-year-old remains in hospital with fractures to his eye socket, cheekbone and his nose after three men spat, punched and stamped on him at Best Kebab in High Road, Leytonstone, at 3am on February 3.
Two of his attackers followed their victim into the takeaway shop and tried to goad him into a fight, but the man refused.
But then a third man spat at him and punched him in the chest, leaving him on the floor.
Another of the men then stamped on his head repeatedly until he fell unconscious.
All three men then walked off in High Road.
The victim was taken to hospital where he underwent surgery.
Two of his attackers are described just as white men, while the third was a bald mixed race man, about 25 years old and slim build. He was wearing white trainers, blue jeans and a dark grey jacket.
Detective Constable Matt Dearsley said: “We know that there was a large number of people in the take away restaurant at the time of this offence. We would urge anyone who knows the identity of the attackers to contact us. The victim has sustained serious injuries in what appears to be a motiveless attack.”
