With just a month to go until the start of a popular arts, history and literature festival, organisers are asking sponsors to come forward.
The Loughton Festival starts on March 8, with highlights including a day-long programme of lectures from experts on the Second World War, a course on the history of suburbia and a series of events at the National Jazz Archive in Traps Hill.
Flyers with information on the festival, donated by accountants Haslers, are available from Loughton Library, The Restore Centre in The Broadway, Lopping Hall in the High Street at the farmers’ market.
Anyone wishing to help at or sponsor the festival should call organiser Sue Taylor on 020 8508 2512 or email loughtonfestival@aol.com.
