What a strange thing to say. It was icy this morning and that part of Roding Lane is regularly iced over due to run off of water from the fields.

Even the most careful of drivers can be caught out if they hit a patch of ice. I find it more odd that someone would choose to imply driver error despite a report suggesting otherwise."

A woman had to be cut free from her car this morning after it overturned at the junction of Alfred Road and Roding Lane, in Buckhurst Hill.

Fire and ambulance crews were called to the incident just before 9am, in which a silver Renault Mégane left the road and crashed into a ditch.

One woman in her 40’s was treated for minor injuries and taken to Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone.

Police say that road conditions at the time were icy.
