Six people including two teenagers have been charged with drug offences, with one man also charged with possessing a loaded gun, after they were arrested during dawn raids on Wednesday.

Around 120 officers from Waltham Forest police and the Met's Trident anti-gang taskforce stormed ten homes of suspected gang members across Chingford and Walthamstow in a crackdown on drugs.

The four adults appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Kyle Jones, 23, of Belgrave Road, Walthamstow, was charged with supplying crack and heroin, possession of a loaded gun and possession of a gun without a certificate.

William Himfen, 42, of Worcestor Road, Walthamstow, was charged with supplying crack and heroin.

Both Nicholas Holland, 22, of Eastleigh Road and Jason Phillips, 24, of Falmer Road, were charged with conspiracy to supply crack and heroin.

The two teenagers, both from Walthamstow and cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Stratford Youth Court yesterday.

One was charged with supplying crack and heroin and other class B drugs and the other is accused of conspiring to supply crack and heroin.

A seventh man, aged 31, was also arrested on Wednesday during a raid and has been bailed to return in March.

The people charged are suspected members of the Priory Court and Chingford Hall gangs.
