CCTV images have been released of two men police are trying to trace after a man was hit by a car in a petrol station.

On November 29 last year a red Renault Laguna was filled up with £81 worth of fuel at the Texaco garage in Hall Lane, Chingford, at around 2.50pm.

The car was driven off without paying after hitting a 51-year-old-member of staff who tried to stop the two men leaving the forecourt.

The member of staff stood infront of the car, waving his arms in an attempt to stop the car from driving away, but ended up being thrown onto the bonnet of the car.

The driver then slammed on the brakes, causing the member of staff to fall on the floor.

He suffered injuries to his legs and back and has since been released from North Middlesex hospital.

After fleeing the garage, the car headed towards the North Circular in the direction of Billet Roundabout.

The driver is described as white and aged between 30 to 40 years old.

He is approximately 5ft 11ins with short receding black hair and was wearing a red hoodie with blue jeans.

The passenger is described as white and aged between 25 and 35 years old.

He had short black hair and was wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans.
