Two men charged with drug offences have been remanded in custody after they were arrested in dawn raids last Wednesday.

Around 120 officers from Waltham Forest police and the Met’s Trident anti-gang taskforce stormed ten homes of suspected gang members during a drug and violent crime crackdown last week.

Four adults appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, one also charged with possession of a loaded gun.

Kyle Jones, 23, of Belgrave Road, Walthamstow, was charged with supplying crack and heroin, possession of a loaded gun and possession of a gun without a certificate.

William Himfen, 42, of Worcestor Road, Walthamstow, was charged with supplying crack and heroin.

Both Nicholas Holland, 22, of Eastleigh Road and Jason Phillips, 24, of Falmer Road, were charged with conspiracy to supply crack and heroin.

Jones was remanded in custody to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday, April 17.

Himfen was also remanded to appear in court via video link this Thursday.

Holland and Phillips were both bailed until Monday, March 25, when they will reappear at Thames.

Two 16-year-olds charged with supplying heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis and conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine were also arrested in the raids and appeared at Stratford Youth Court last Thursday.

A police spokesman said the Met was awaiting an update on whether they had been bailed or not.

The people charged are suspected members of the Priory Court and Chingford Hall gangs.
