Chinese New Year was celebrated by children as they tried Chinese food and performed dragon dances.
Pre-prep children at Avon House Preparatory School, in High Road, Woodford Green also made Chinese fans and lanterns and as it's the year of the snake they also made their own snake mobile.
Headteacher Amanda Campbell said: “To mark it being the year of the snake the children designed and cut out their own snake mobiles and enjoyed learning how to make and cook vegetable wantons.
“Each child also painted their own square of a Chinese mask and these squares were then put together to create some magnificent Chinese masks.
“The children from different year groups worked well to help and support each other throughout the different activities.
“All the children had a fun-filled day of learning and developing their skills.
“They even had delicious Chinese food for their lunch."
