An 18-year-old man was stabbed in the leg by the entrance to Leyton Tube station last night.
It happened at around 10.25pm in the High Road.
It is believed that the man was walking along the street when two men got out of a car and began chasing him.
He ran towards the station but the duo caught up with him, stabbing him just outside it.
The man was taken to hospital to be treated for a wound on his thigh.
He has since been discharged.
No arrests have been made.
A Met spokesman said: "Witnesses have described the suspects as two black males aged between 16-18 years wearing dark clothing.
