An entrepreneurial mum-of-two has launched a website aimed at helping high street shops showcase their best deals and offers for shoppers.

Renata Hunter, 43, of Warren Road, Wanstead, comes from a family of entrepreneurs in Brazil and has used her business skills to launch ilovemyhighstreet.com – a website aimed at helping high streets encourage shoppers to visit.

Mrs Hunter tested the water four months ago by creating Facebook pages for high streets across the area.

After realising the success and interest in these pages she has created the website and hopes businesses will soon be rushing to sign up.

Mrs Hunter said: “I’m really, really excited about what this website can do.

“Smaller businesses struggle today because they don’t have the same level of opportunities that bigger businesses have. Big businesses have a lot of money side aside for marketing and have a lot of knowledge.

“I don’t think the high street will die, it is just going through a process of change.

“This website is a way businesses can attract someone to the high street, any savvy shopper is always looking to get the best deals and offers and this is one way they can do that.

“I think it can really help prevent high streets closing down and bring back interest in shopping on the high street.

“I am just trying to find my feet at the moment, but ultimately I want to change the way we shop.”

Businesses will pay a monthly subscription fee to join the website and will be able to offer up to 12 discounts a month.
