British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with an assault on a pensioner.
The incident took place at Snaresbrook station at around 11.35am on November 12 last year.
PC Paul Threadgold, the investigating officer, said: “The victim, a 70-year-old woman from Snaresbrook, was entering the station through a ticket barrier.
“A man tried to exit the station through the same barrier and pushed the victim out of his way, causing her to fall to the ground and bruising her hip.”
PC Threadgold said that enquiries to establish the identity of the man had so far proved fruitless.
Anyone who recognises him should contact British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40 quoting B6 of 14/02/13. Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
