A Wanstead nursery has been rated Good by Ofsted.
The Treehouse Nursery in Woodbine Place was visited by inspectors on January 15.
They found the quality and standards of early years provision to be good.
Inspectors praised the nursery for the caring relationships built up between staff and children.
And they found children to be settled and secure and said the nursery provided youngsters with a stimulating programme of activities.
The nursery was also praised for its enthusiastic leadership team and for providing opportunities for parents to get involved with their children’s learning.
But inspectors said the nursery did not merit an outstanding rating because observations of children are not consistently analysed to plan for the individual next steps in children’s learning.
They also noted that use of home languages was not fully explored to support the language development of bi-lingual babies or those for whom English is an additional language.
