An 11-year-old school boy has struck gold for swimming in the borough's mini games.
Year 6 pupil at Avon House Preparatory School, Haimish Patel, won the medal in the 50m individual front crawl on January 31 at Fullwell Cross Leisure Centre in Barkingside.
Haimish has now been selected to represent Redbridge at Crystal Palace in the London Mini Games in July in two relay events.

“Our congratulations go to Haimish on such an outstanding achievement.”
The Redbridge Mini Games take place each year and every school from across the borough are invited to take part.
