Students took to the stage to perform their own production of hit musical Guys and Dolls.

The senior school of Bancroft's in High Road, Woodford Green, have been rehearsing for several months to perfect their performances.

The musical is based on Damon Runyon's short stories of life on Broadway.

The cast included sixth form students Nadia Abraham as Miss Adelaide and Charlie Layburn as Nicely Nicely Johnson.

The show was directed by Head of Drama Sam Hawkins and Caroline Foinette as the Musical Director.

Mr Hawkins said: "This has been a momentous production both to organize and produce but it is very satisfying to see so many students giving it their all to make the evening as entertaining as possible.  The cast are thoroughly enjoying the experience.

"I have received so many wonderful plaudits from parents and friends.”

Year 11 student Charlotte Curness choreograped the performance.

Performances kicked off on Wesdnesday and run through until tomorrow.

Tickets cost £7 for adults and £3 for children.
