Google staff are set to give businesses advice on how to use the internet to boost their income.
The experts will talk retailers through setting up a website and carrying out online marketing when they visit the Queens Road Learning Centre in Walthamstow tomorrow.
The workshop was organised through Waltham Forest Council and Walthamstow MP Stella Creasey, and the 120 spaces on it have been filled by local small businesses.
Cabinet member for economic development, Mark Rusling, said he hoped the advice would enable shops and businesses to expand.
He added: “We want to boost business in the borough and that is why we’re investing in our high streets to support local shops and services. This Google workshop is an example of the support that we are providing small and medium businesses to help them to develop and grow.”
Miss Creasey added: “A successful online presence is vital for businesses based in Walthamstow and successful small businesses mean a strong local economy.
“I hope that as many businesses as possible take advantage of the expertise on offer from Google.”
The workshop, which starts at 3.45pm, comes after the council announced a £9 million regeneration of some of the borough's high streets, which are set to benefit from facelifts and money spent on improving public spaces.
