Police are appealing for help identifying a man suspected of threatening a Tube station staff member.
The man requested a refund on his Oyster card at Leyton Underground Station in High Road and became angry and abusive when Tube staff kept the card, not believing that it belonged to him.
The station supervisor tried to speak to the man about the incident but the man started shouting loudly and threatened to hurt the supervisor before leaving the station.
The incident occurred at about 12pm on December 6, but British Transport Police have only just released an appeal after other methods of finding the man have failed.
Detective Inspector Jim Chamberlain said: “Tube staff should not have to endure abuse or violence for simply carrying out their job.
