A £2 million scheme to improve Barkingside town centre will be discussed at a public meeting.

Redbridge Council received the cash from the Greater London Authority (GLA) in 2012 to make improvements to the top end of High Street, Barkingside.

Plans for the Better Barkingside project include a new town square and improvements to shop fronts.

Community group Barkingside 21 have organised a meeting at Fullwell Cross Library on April 17 between 8pm-9.15pm to discuss the plans.

Project manager Nigel Burch and town centre manager Cathy MacBride will be at the meeting to answer questions.
