The owner of a burger van which has surged through a league table of Essex eateries says that he is over the moon with the success of his car park cuisine.

Rob Chapman, 40, owns the Best Burger Van, Waltham Abbey, which recently won a spot in the top twenty restaurants in the county on Trip Advisor’s website.

Mr Chapman says that the key to his success is sourcing and serving the finest cuts of meat from local farms.

He said: “It really has gone from strength to strength. “What started out as a van in the car park has grown and we have now bought the pub as well, as a family.

“It’s all down to quality produce. I go to local farms and collect the meat myself. People know that I won’t serve rubbish, the quality is second to none.

“You won’t get horse meat in my produce.”

Burgers, baguettes and sausages are all cooked to order from the extensive menu offered at the Best Burger Van.

Products that customers can expect to find include 28 day matured rib eye steak.

Mr Chapman who started the burger van business two years ago says that he is thrilled that people have written such glowing reviews.

He said: “I am really pleased and grateful that people have recognised what we do here.

“For the quality of the food people get very good value.

“It is the same standard as restaurants but cheaper than what people pay on the high street for a lot less.”

The business has been ranked at number 20 of 1,600 Essex restaurants after people took to the internet to rate it and write reviews.

Glowing reports of dining experiences in the pub car park saw the burger van achieve a five star rating whilst beating top class restaurants to a spot in the top 20.
