Scouts took to the streets to celebrate St George’s Day a couple of days early in a parade on the weekend.
Groups from around Chingford joined in as hundreds of children marched behind a pipe band from Chingford Plains, up through Station Road to St Peter & Paul’s Church in The Green on Sunday.
A service was held there in honour of the patron saint of England, and long-serving scout leaders were also recognised with awards.
Leader of the 10th Chingford Scouts, Bernie Pridmore, said: “It was a fantastic turn out and it was a really great day.”
