Football fans raised tens of thousands of pounds for charity when they were given the chance to watch a football manager in the hot seat.

West Ham manager, Sam Allardyce, held the audience captive as he gave out insider gossip and spoke out the club’s move to the Olympic Stadium, at the Prince Regent Hotel in Chigwell, on Tuesday.

Sports journalist Matt Lorenzo quizzed Mr Allardyce on all things football and his future plans for the team.

A staggering £30,000 was raised for Jewish Care’s services in Redbridge which helps to care for vulnerable people living in the community at the event.

Mr Allardyce thanked fans for their continued support and spoke of how much he has enjoyed the last two seasons with the club, but said that so far his career highlight was whilst he was at Bolton.

He said: “Going back to Bolton Wanderers for a second time and taking them to Europe was the most satisfying moment of my life.”
