Outstanding pupils received recognition for their achievements at an annual school awards evening.
Prize-winning students at Woodbridge High School in St Barnabas Road, Woodford Green, received certificates, plaques and trophies for academic excellence, outstanding achievement in individual subjects and service to the school.
Two students from every year were also presented with awards as boy and girl of the year.
Year 11 winners, 16-year-old Zeki Husein and Lauren Bridge were singled out for special praise by deputy head Jeremy Clifton.
He said: “Lauren was given the award for her outstanding academic progress, but also for all the other things she does.
“She is very involved with music and does a lot of peer mentoring with the younger children at reading club.
“Zeki is a great young man with a very positive attitude.
“He is always smiling and is an extremely polite student. I think all the staff would agree he is a model pupil.”
Headteacher, Andrew Beaumont, said: “I am delighted to see so many young people gain recognition for their achievements. They have an exciting and rewarding future ahead of them; both parents and staff are rightly proud of their success.”
