Deaf awareness training was provided to council employees following the appointment of a deaf worker.
Specialist training company Remark provided a course for six council officers to help accommodate their new colleague.
They were given guidance on basic communication tactics and were also shown how to use a British Sign Language interpreter and provided with tips on working with lip-readers.
