Staff and children at a Snaresbrook school are in shock after the sudden death of a sixth form pupil.

Forest School in College Place was informed of Aashi Sinha’s death on Wednesday morning.

It is not known at this stage when or how the teenager died, although she had posted on Twitter as recently as May 3.

A spokesman for Forest School said: “The school has overnight received the very sad news of the sudden death of a Forest pupil.

“We are in close contact with the pupil’s family and we are helping them in any way we can as they deal with this devastating news.

“Our hearts go out to the pupil’s family and friends.”

He added that the school was working with pupils and staff to help them cope with the news.

The school held a two minute silence in assembly this morning and tributes to Aashi are pouring in from shocked friends on Twitter.
