Children who have been learning about rainforests and minibeasts saw their lessons brought to life by some exotic visitors.
The youngsters at Avon House Prep School in Woodford Green got up close with animals including a corn snake and a tarantula.
The beasts were brought into the school last week by Zoolab, a company which runs animal handling workshops.
Other creatures visiting the school included a cockroach a millipede and a giant snail.
As well as handling the animals, the children learnt about what they eat and their natural habitats.
