A team of Spurs legends will take on a side made up of local accountants and their clients in a charity match.

Stars of yesteryear, including Tony Galvin and Mark Falco, will turn out at Wanstead Rugby Club in Roding Lane North, Woodford Green, this Sunday.

They will be taking on a team assembled by the staff at Raffingers Stuart, an accountancy firm based in Bourne Court, Southend Road, Woodford Green.

Players from the amateur team have paid as much as £250 for the honour of taking on the Tottenham legends.

The money will go to the charity Hopes and Dreams which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening and limiting illnesses.

The match, which is scheduled to kick off at 2pm, is just one of a host of attractions at the fundraising day.

There will also be an It’s a Knockout challenge featuring teams from the RAF and the local fire brigade, as well as a bouncy castle and rides and stalls.

Doors open at noon and the fun goes on until 5pm. Entrance is £3 for adults and £1 for children over four. There will also be car parking available for £1.
