Parks in the borough have been receiving significant funding with two reopening last month after work was carried out and play equipment added.

Leyton Manor Park had the younger children’s play area refurbished with new play equipment and natural features such as mounds and balance beams.

In Church Lane a new multi-use games area with line markings for football, basketball and volleyball has been installed with a mini multi-use games area alongside for little ones.

Further works on the council's £1.7million schedule have consultations planned for residents to meet designers and give suggestions and idea through drop-in sessions.

Consultation on Drysdale Park Play Area improvements are on July 9 from 3pm until 6pm at Chingford Assembly Hall on Station Road.

The Vincent Road Play Area improvements drop-in is on July 10 from 3pm until 6pm at The Marketing Suite, Unit 7 Signal Walk, Larkshall Road in Highams Park.

The final consultation is for Church Lane Park Play Area improvements, which is on July 11 from 3pm until 6pm at St John the Baptist Church, Leytonstone High Road.
