The achievements of students who attend the Sheila Ferrari Dyslexia Centre in Woodford Green were recognised at an awards ceremony.
More than 150 people packed into All Saints Church, in Inmans Row, Woodford Green, for the event on Thursday.
Certificates and medals were presented to around 50 students by former student and double BAFTA-winning TV and film writer James Lamont.
Winners included students from schools as far away as Islington, Palmers Green, Epping and Hainault, who all attend the centre.
There was a special commendation for 17-year-old Elle Sozzi, a pupil at Trinity Catholic High School in Woodford Green, who was awarded the title of Young Ambassador for the centre in recognition of her "excellent" communication skills.
The centre, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, is based at the Avon House School site in Woodford Green High Road.
