Seaside 'cockle rockers' Grand Reunion headline Loughton Folk Club on Thursday (July 4).


Support comes from Dan-n-Steve-n-Dan, a singing-guitar-fiddle trio.


Entrance is £5 and doors are at 8pm.


It is at the Loughton Club in Station Road.


Young rock act Black Lion Project headline a night at the Plough and Harrow in Leytonstone High Road on Friday (July 5), the first of two local shows they are performing this week (see below).


The gig, organised by Another Winter Productions, also features rock band Swinging For Mars and heavy metal group Xentinel.


Entry is £5 and doors are from 8pm.


The pub hosts ska band Arse Full of Chips on Saturday night (July 6).


Also on the bill is Oiz II Men and the wonderfully named Les Dennis Tribute Band.


It's organised by promoters Get Ploughed and is from 7pm.


Entry is £3.


Rock covers band Mischief play the Dukes Head pub in Walthamstow on Friday (July 5).


The gig, at the venue in Wood Street, is free.


The band will be on stage around 9.30pm.


Black Lion Project play the same pub on Saturday night. It's also at 9.30pm and is free.


Californian singer-songwriter Frank Fairfield plays The Crown pub in Leytonstone on Monday (July 8).


He's known for his “spellbinding” live shows featuring hillbilly and 'murder' ballads.


Support comes from The A&E Old Time String Band.


The gig is organised by promoters What's Cookin' and is free to attend, although donations welcome.


Doors to the venue, in Leytonstone High Road, open at 8pm.


The venue hosts an evening of jazz the following night (Tuesday July 9) with Alan Skidmore on the tenor sax and Steve Melling on piano.


The gig, organised by the East Side Jazz Club, starts at 8.30pm and costs £6 admission.


On the Wednesday (July 10), The Crown has another free What's Cookin' show featuring Mark Nevin and friends from 8pm.

Mr Nevin previously had success with a number one single in the 1980s for the song 'Perfect' performed by his band Fairground Attraction. It's the one that goes "it's got to be-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e, peeeeerfect". A catchy late '80s classic.


Waltham Abbey Folk Club has a singaround jam night on Monday (July 8).


It costs £2 and doors are at 8pm.


The club is based at the Royal British Legion building in Brooker Road.
