A social care provider which supports people with disabilities in Waltham Forest and the surrounding area has changed its name.
Vibrance, previously called Redbridge Community Housing Ltd (RCHL), offers community day services, low-support housing, nursing and care homes, respite care, supported employment and self-direct services to 850 people in nine local authority areas.
Chief Executive Paul Allen said the change in name heralded a new future for the non-profit organisation, which recently became a registered charity.
He added that the name Vibrance shows how the organisation has evolved and the old name was not able to reflect those changes.
“Vibrance will build on the successful foundations of RCHL. Our goal is by 2020, we will expand throughout London and the south east,” he said.
“We want Vibrance to become recognised for excellence in enabling vulnerable people to be in control.”
The charity are eager to reassure people that whilst their name has changed, the high quality and innovative social care services that are trusted by carers, commissioners and the people who use them remains.
The organisation was named on the Sunday Times ‘100 Best Companies To Work For’ in 2012.
It runs several services throughout the Waltham Forest area, including Waltham Forest Day Services, in Brookscroft Road, Walthamstow, and Canterbury Road Day Services, in Leyton.
