Fresh water forensic lessons are being held to teach families how to identify healthy ponds and rivers, figure out what creatures inhabit them and spot invaders in the ecosystems.
Using ‘kick sampling’ at the Roding Valley Meadows Local Nature Reserve visitors to the two sessions will be able to compare each water sample.
Leaders will explain how to use creatures to see how clean the water is during the trips on July 13.
The first group will go at 10am until 12.30pm and the second at 1.30pm until 4pm, places must be booked by calling the Epping Forest Field Centre on 0208 502 8500.
