Coppermill Park is to host a Fun Day Festival on Sunday doubling as an opportunity for visitors to learn more about the work of the St James Street Big Local initiative.
Fun Day organiser Tommy Anderson said: “The Big Local project is being run by local people and has £1million from the National Lottery to spend over the next 10 years."
Mr Anderson added that ideas were welcomed on how the money should be spent to improve facilities and the St James Street area in general.
Attractions include live music from local performers, a bouncy castle and all the usual stalls.
Big Local aims to bring together local people and give them the opportunity to make their area a better place to live.
The day begins at midday and runs until 5pm at Coppermill Lane, Walthamstow.
