Loughton man Jack Robertson admitted stealing £119.93 worth of confectionery from Sainsbury's
A thief has been ordered to work for free after stealing £120 worth of chewing gum from a supermarket.
Jack Robertson was given a 12-month community order and told to complete 40 hours of unpaid labour at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court last week.
Robertson, of Barfields, Loughton, pleaded guilty to stealing £119.93 worth of Spearmint Chewing Gum from Sainsbury’s in Loughton.
The 22-year-old was also ordered to pay a £60 fine.
