Wanstead High School has seen an improvement in GCSE results this year.

Nearly a third of all grades gained were A* and As and over half were A* – B grades.
76 per cent got five or more GCSEs at grade C or above.
Head teacher, Chris Van-Bussel, said: “GCSE results were very good this year and close to the best results we achieved in 2010.
“We are especially pleased that in a year when examinations are being marked more stringently than ever before we were able to improve our results.
“We congratulate all our students and staff on these results, achieved through the hard work of students and the dedication of our staff.”
Star pupils, Chloe Ogweng and Samuel Wilson both excelled with nine A*s.
Arun Nutter got eight A*s and three As and Jim Fodder and Jessica Goddard both got eight A*s and two As.
