Weekly gigs round up (August 29 to September 4)
Garage rock duo Cowbell headline The Crown pub in Leytonstone at a night next Wednesday (September 4).
Support comes from another rock act Dirty White Fever.
Promoters What's Cookin' describe them as “another two piece but louder than a five piece”.
The music gets going at 8pm.
Entry to the venue, in the High Road, is free, although donations for the acts encouraged.
Skilled guitarist Dave Beckett plays Loughton Folk Club on Thursday (August 29).
Entrance to the venue, at the Loughton Club in Station Road, is £4.
Doors open at 8pm.
Waltham Abbey Folk Club has a singaround jam night on Monday (September 2).
It costs £2 and is from 8.30pm at the Royal British Legion building in Brooker Road.
Singer-songwriter Jonny Stemp plays the Square in Harlow on Friday (August 30).
Support comes from Violence, Bow Ties and Blazes, duo Sid and Joe and Dave Harris.
Tickets are £5 on the door, or £4 for members.
It opens at 8pm and is strictly over 16s only.
Regular local music nights including Walthamstow Folk Club and the East Side Jazz Club in Leytonstone are on holiday breaks but are set to resume in early September.
