Sawbridgeworth couple Nick and Jane Anderson hope to raise cash for St Clare Hospice
Bakery owners have decided to raise some dough for a hospice which cares for thousands every year.
Nick and Jane Anderson are hosting a ‘Meet the Baker’ event at Mayfield Farm Bakery, Old Harlow, in aid of St Clare Hospice.
On October 10, the couple will show off their award-winning artisan bread and cakes, as well as sharing secret family recipes.
Master Baker Nick will be explaining how he produces his innovative loaves using locally-sourced ingredients and how the baking trade has changed in the 350 years that his family has been making bread.
Participants will take home a complimentary loaf to enjoy and the demonstration will be followed by a Mayfield lunch of quiche of the day.
Mayfield Farm Bakery, in Sheering Road, launched its popular ‘Meet the Baker’ event due to demand for Nick to share his skills and knowledge.
The couple, who live in Allens Green, near Sawbridgeworth, are hosting a second event in aid of St Clare in January.
Places at the ‘Meet the Baker’ event on October 10 cost £15, including lunch.
To book, call the St Clare fundraising team on 01279 773750.
