Ricky Martin will take part in the Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk in Epping Forest
An entrepreneur who impressed one of the biggest names in business is set to take part in a charity event in the forest.
Ricky Martin, the winner of last year's series of The Apprentice, has signed up for the Epping Forest Memory Walk on September 15.
The Loughton based businessman says he hopes to publicise the work of the Alzheimer’s Society.
He said: “Having seen family members diagnosed with dementia I know what a cruel condition it can be, not only for those but for their loved ones, too.
“Supporting Alzheimer's Society is very important to me and I want to do all I can to raise awareness of the fantastic work they do to support people living with dementia.”
In 2012 the qualified Biochemist won the BBC show and secured a £250,000 investment from Alan Sugar.
He used the money to set up Hyper Recruitment Solutions, s specialist science recruitment agency.
Ricky will be joined by former Eastenders and West end star John Partridge.
