Work begins on redeveloping estate in Clayhall with new homes
Work has begun today on redeveloping an estate in Clayhall with new homes.
A ground breaking ceremony was held this lunchtime to mark the occasion at the Repton Court and Claire House complex, which is located off Repton Grove.
Swan Housing Association is doubling the amount of homes to 149 on the estate in partnership with Redbridge Council.
The new buildings will include a mixture of properties including one and three bedroom houses.
The work is expected to be completed by the spring of 2015.
Swan’s Executive Director for Housing, Sandra Fawcett, said, “This is a milestone in the regeneration of the area.
"We are delighted that local residents have been so involved, and the support of Redbridge Council has been invaluable.
"We look forward to providing residents with high-quality homes, and supporting the development of a vibrant and supportive community.”
