The Woodford Historical Society kicks off its autumn season on Monday with an illustrated talk on the history of suburban roads.
The lecture, entitled 'A Walk with the Admiral', will be by historian Richard Thomas.
It takes place at Trinity Catholic High School's lower site hall in Sydney Road, Woodford Green, at 7.45pm.
