Thieves drained around £15,000 worth of diesel from a nursery in Roydon
Police are appealing for information after £15,000 worth of fuel was stolen from a gardening business.
Thieves broke into the nursery at Sedge Green in Roydon at about 9.50pm on September 9.
They are thought to have been on the premises for nearly three hours while pumping fuel from a storage tank to a lorry parked nearby.
The lorry used during the diesel theft was described as a dark coloured 7.5 ton truck with a small Union Jack sign on a side curtain. A light coloured Subaru estate car was also involved.
At least six men are believed to have been involved in the burglary.
Anyone who was in the area between 10pm on Monday and 1.40am the following morning and saw anything suspicious should contact the investigating officer, Pc Jennie Morris or her colleagues, at Loughton Neighbourhood Crime Team on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
