Epping Forest District councillors looking to freeze council tax for the next two financial years
Council tax looks set to be frozen for the next two financial years.
Epping Forest District Council will continue to receive a central government grant, equivalent to revenue generated from a 1% increase, to keep the levy at its present level until 2016.
The plan would have to be approved by full council, but councillors were supportive of the idea at a meeting last night.
Council leader, Cllr Chris Whitbread, said: “We want our residents to have as much money in their pockets as possible.”
