A lorry was badly damaged after striking a bridge this morning.
The vehicle was travelling along Roding Road from Valley Hill, Loughton, when it collided with the railway bridge causing its back roof to crumple.
Officers from TFL were on the scene this afternoon as the lorry from Oxfordshire based company CH Insulation Products sat on the roadside.
The bridge which has been hit numerous times by high sided vehicles in the past appears to have escaped serious damage.
