Waltham Forest pupils learned about the countryside in Leyton Marsh
Primary school students enjoyed a day in the countryside yesterday – in the heart of east London.
Ahead of this weekend’s Countryside Live event in Leyton Marsh, where families can experience country life, pupils were treated to sheep shearing displays, a sheep dancing show, falconry, ferret racing and more.
The day aimed to educate children about where food comes from.
Pupils from Riverley School Primary School, Thomas Gamuel Primary School, Chingford C of E, and St Joseph’s Junior School were all lucky enough to have attended.
The weekend’s family friendly event is open from 10am until 5pm and costs £4 for an adult day pass. Children’s tickets are free.
