A new club for businesswomen in Wanstead and Woodford is being launched next month.
The Woodford Enterprising Women group aims to offer networking opportunities and social support for like-minded entrepreneurs in the region.
Branch organiser Julie Pearce said: “Woodford Enterprising Women will provide a positive opportunity for local businesswomen to diversify their business approaches and provide their customer base with a new feed-in angle.
“That said, women interacting together naturally provides social support as well as being inspiring.”
The organisation is holding a launch event on Tuesday October 15 at The Prince Regent Hotel in Manor Road, Chigwell.
The club will have monthly meetings, its own dedicated website, and involvement in awards such as 'Woman of the Week'.
It is part of the national Enterprising Women's organisation.
Spokeswoman Stacey Pike said:“It’s so good to see women coming together in local communities to exchange ideas and help each other grow their business.
“We know that the feeling of being alone when you run your own business can be very difficult and having other women from all walks of life to discuss your thoughts with is invaluable.”
