Synagogue hosting auctioneers evening
A synagogue is holding an event enabling members of the public to bring their old antiques in to get them valued by a local auctioneer.
Wanstead and Woodford Synagogue, in South Woodford, will be hosting the evening on October 13, in the hope of raising over £500 for the Synagogue.
Loughton auctioneers Boningtons will be on hand to give presentations, value visitors’ belongings and provide the opportunity to put them up for auction.
Bernice Van Loen, of the synagogue functions committee, said: “This will be a great opportunity for the public to learn about collecting and selling.
“For those who are especially daunted by the thought of selling at an auction and are unsure about how to do so, it is the perfect opportunity to learn a bit more and meet other collectors.”
