The Woodbine Inn in Waltham Abbey has made it into CAMRA's Good Beer Guide
A pub which serves only locally-produced ale has made it into the national Good Beer Guide.
The Woodbine Inn in Waltham Abbey will feature in the 41st Campaign for Real Ale’s publication, with only around 4,500 others in Britain.
Rob Chapman who recently took over the pub says that he will only buy in the best.
He said: “It’s a great achievement for us as we have only been selling real ale for just over a year now.
“By focusing on selling high quality great conditioned beer mostly from local micro brewers and smaller independent breweries, it nice to get recognized for our passion and enthusiasm.
The pub has five pumps serving ale although serves up to ten on ‘meet the brewer weekends’.
The Woodbine Inn, in Honey Lane, uses breweries such as Pitfield in North Weald and London Glider Cider in Woodford.
