Redbridge children's rated 'good' by Ofsted
Ofsted have rated a children’s home in the area “good” after its previous inspection resulted in an “inadequate” rating.
The unnamed home, operated by a private company in Redbridge, looks after up to six children and young people with emotional or behavioural difficulties.
Inspector Karen Malcolm said the manager had made significant improvements meeting requirements made at the last inspection, including improving the training of staff and recording any use of control, discipline or restraint on a child.
The August 7 inspection praised the home’s outcomes for young people, quality of care, its ability to keep children safe and feeling safe, and the leadership and management.
“Young people are making good progress in relation to their starting points across all aspects of their welfare and development, notably in building self-esteem and relationships with staff,” Ms Malcolm said.
“This has been underpinned by effective, quality support from staff.”
Ofsted says it does not provide address information for such establishments for the protection of children.
