Loughton 9-year-old to shave head to support teacher
A nine-year-old girl inspired to shave her head for charity when her teacher developed cancer has raised three times her original fundraising target.
After setting up a Just Giving page last Thursday, Hannah Grace hoped to receive pledges of £500.
But the current total is now just short of £1,500.
Hannah, a pupil at White Bridge Junior School in Greensted Road, Loughton, decided to raise money for Cancer Research UK after her teacher developed breast cancer.
Hannah’s Mother, Nicola Grace, 42, said: “She’s the most compassionate child you could ever meet.”
Hannah will shave her head on the November 16.
