Two people living in a flat where a body was found appeared to be a normal couple, according to neighbours.

A murder investigation has been launched after woman in her 30s was found dead in Harveyfields, Waltham Abbey, at 10.40am yesterday.

The death is being linked to the discovery of a man’s body in Grundy Park, Cheshunt, also yesterday.

A neighbour, who did not want to be named, said he saw the couple who lived in the flat at around 4pm on Sunday and they appeared to be fine.

Another neighbour Stacey Andrews, 21, said she met the woman when she helped find her lost cat and described her as “nice”, but did not know her well.

“It’s just a shock that it’s happened. This is a nice quiet area,” she added.

The bodies are yet to be formally identified and post mortems are due to take place today.
