Shocking CCTV footage of a burglar throwing a puppy over a 10 foot high fence has emerged this week.

The clip shows a man jump over a fence into the yard of a metalworks business in Midland Road Leyton, untie the Staffordshire terrier cross and then toss it back over the fence.

Police have confirmed the man is a suspect in an investigation into the burglary, which happened around 10am on Sunday morning.

The dog’s owner and business director, Ali Albay, said the theft of five-month-old Cash left him devastated and in tears.

He said he is desperate to find his beloved pet.

“Please help me to find my Cash, it feels like I lost my child and really want him back,” the 26-year-old said.

“He just nicked him, I don’t know why, either to sell him or keep for himself, I don’t know.

“He was the most beautiful, most pleasant dog you’d ever met.”

Mr Albay said Cash was the first dog he had owned and had been bought to cure his fear of dogs.

Dogwalker Andrea Bartrip, who walks Cash twice a week, said she thought his breed might be the reason for the theft.

“Because he’s a staffy cross thieves seem to be targeting them at the moment,” the 45-year-old said.

“It’s such a shame. The thought of what they’ll do with him is awful.

“I don’t know if it will be for fighting, breeding or whether they’ll sell him.”

Cash was found missing when a carer Mr Albay uses carried out an hourly check.

The suspect can be seen jumping the fence at 0:16 and then throwing Cash over the fence at 1:10.
