The M25 is closed clockwise between junction 23 and 25.
An HGV overturned and then caught fire at around 12.20pm on the exit slip road at Junction 25
A fully signed diversion route is in place via the A1, A406 and A10 following a triangle symbol.
Drivers are advised to plan their journeys and allow extra time if travelling in the area.
The closure is expected to stay in place into the evening.
